Jason Meyer

General Partner

“It’s all about giving back.”

Jason Meyer is passionate about helping people he has never met. He joined the U.S. Air Force so he could serve and protect his country and considers the military a "training ground for leadership and caring about others" because "everything you do begins at the human level."

Before joining the military, Jason learned the impact healthcare has on people at a job with HLS MedFreight, and while still in the service, he moonlighted making sales calls for VPL, a company committed to making the healthcare supply chain smarter and more efficient. When he left the Air Force at the rank of Captain, he knew the healthcare industry was his ideal landing spot.

He quickly found his footing and hasn't looked back. As a founding member and VP of Operations for VPL, he laid the groundwork for a successful exit to private equity. And now, as General Partner of Waterston, he's living out his dream of making healthcare more affordable, more accessible, and safer for both patients and clinicians.

Jason's expertise in operations makes him the ideal individual to lead Waterston's sourcing initiative. He knows the faster he finds amazing new technologies, operationalizes them, and gets them into the hands of clinicians, the faster he'll be able to help the people who need them the most. That, combined with his innate ability to understand, empathize and collaborate with inventors, investors, teammates, and sourcing partners ensures his place as the heart and soul of the organization.
